Joel Martin Jung

Joel had spent most of his life with his mind immersed in a sketchbook. Growing up being the fourth out of five kids he learned quickly to entertain himself while his parents were busy running the other siblings around to various activities. Drawing was an activity that was easy to do on the move. Once he started he never stopped. As he got older, his interests in comic books and the skateboarding culture only fueled the fire. Joel continued to hone his skills and enrolled in Boise State University, studying under famed illustrator Bill Carman. Joel has worked professionally at all levels of Graphic Design, starting out freelancing and working his way to Senior Level Designer at Intuit by thirty years old. His illustrations have been published in magazines and featured on album covers for northwest-based hip-hop artists. These skills coupled with his strong eye and Art Direction skills led to a complete overhaul of QuickBooks illustration style. He has also found success in designing t-shirts based on local sports themes. This success propelled him to visually create NorthwesTees.
